Mark Mikolajczyk, a Florida Today publisher, is the event chairman and guest speaker at the Brevard Neighborhood Development Coalition’s Anchor Breakfast. The breakfast is scheduled for April 29 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Grand Ballroom of the Melbourne Rialto Hilton.

The Anchor Breakfast is an upbeat and inspirational event aimed at raising money for the coalition’s effort in revitalizing impoverished communities.  The coalition helps the efforts of resident leaders, government, business, and churches restore neighborhoods that struggle with crime and poverty.

The coalitions current project include Evans Center, a multiuse neighborhood market in Palm Bay; Greater Heights, an affordable apartment community for the working poor; and the DOCK, a haven for children of the Booker T. Washington neighborhood of Melbourne.

Past speakers have included Florida Senator Mike Haridopolos, Harris CEO Howard Lance, and Florida Tech President Dr. Anthony Catanese.

Sponsorship opportunities range from $500 to $5,000. Individual tickets are available at $35 each. For information, call 321-253-4214 or visit BNDCserve.org.
